Nidhi Agnihotri
Nidhi began working in Australia in 2010 as an International Customer Service Representative for a medical device manufacturing and distributing company. About her first role in the country, she says: “I learned many tricks of the trade there! It was a wide reaching role requiring my engagement in various aspects of the business, which was still in its infancy. In 2018 I joined Getz Healthcare as a Customer Service Representative.”
Reflecting on why she chose to make this career move, Nidhi says: “During my maternity leave in 2016-2017, the previous company ceased operations, which provided me with an opportunity to look further afield and search for new workplaces. That is when I discovered Getz Healthcare. I was impressed by how nice and professional the team was. They continue to be consistently caring, kind and helpful. There is a top-notch office culture at Getz Healthcare. The company is very flexible and understanding, especially with regards to work-from-home arrangements. There is also a lot of support from managers for my development and learning."
"Eager to continue learning and expand her skills, Nidhi has thrived in her development at Getz Healthcare. 'Within 4 years of starting as a Customer Service Representative at Getz Healthcare, an opportunity for a higher position emerged. I am grateful I embraced the challenge, steering myself towards a more specialised role by pursuing that vacancy. Presently, I oversee the company's contracts and tenders in Australia and New Zealand. With the management team's direction and manager's support, I have been able to evolve very successfully.”
So, what does a Contracts and Tenders Coordinator do, and how does Nidhi’s work impact our organisation?
"My primary responsibility is to ensure timely and accurate submission of open tenders," explains Nidhi. "Typically, I begin my workday with a coffee and then proceed to identify potential business opportunities from the tender notifications. I promptly share these findings with stakeholders. Subsequently, I focus on tasks such as working on open tenders, managing contract renewals, and overseeing implementations."
"I appreciate that my role isn't repetitive on a daily basis. It consistently evolves alongside industry changes, offering constant opportunities for learning new things."
Some of the new aspects that Nidhi alludes to have had a dramatic impact on the healthcare sector in general, but more specifically, have changed how organisations in the field engage with each other.
"The most significant change I have witnessed," adds Nidhi, "is the complete transition to online platforms. There are no longer phone calls or emails for tender-related communication; everything now goes through software or customer portals. This transition ensures that all interactions are recorded, allowing for analysis later on. It undoubtedly represents the future direction of our sector."
