Hemo-Nate Filter

The Utah Medical Hemo-Nate® blood filtration system is designed to reduce the risk of pulmonary distress and overburdening of underdeveloped neonatal vasculature after the infusion of frequently administered small volumes of blood, blood components and other fluids in neonatal and pediatric patients.

The Utah Hemo-Nate Filter is an 18 micron filter that has high microaggregate retention, yet allows viable blood product to pass through with ease.

The Hemo-Nate Filter is made for use with the Utah Medical Complete Needleless Hemo-Nate Filter Set and Hemo-Nate Filter Set, which are indicated for:

  • Neonatal Whole Blood Infusion
  • Neonatal Packed Cell Infusion
  • FFP (Fresh Frozen Plasma)
  • AHF Concentrates Cryoprecipitates
  • I.V. Fat Emulsions
  • TPN Preparation
  • Other Blood Fractionates
  • Drugs (as a particulate filter)
