VENCLOSE is an endovenous radiofrequency (RF) ablation system designed to improve your clinical performance during the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
Faster than other RF ablation treatments
VENCLOSE’s single-catheter system reduces clinicians’ total in-vein time during treatment of the great saphenous vein (GSV) by more than 30 per cent compared to competitor RF ablation treatments – thereby reducing operational time and costs.
Improved catheter profile and markings
The VENCLOSE catheter features a small, curved profile (6 French), which improves clinician’s ability to navigate within veins to allow for more efficient surgical performance. The catheter’s shaft markings are clearly indexed to allow for precise positioning of the heating coil. It also utilises a smaller catheter entry site to further decrease the invasiveness of the minimally invasive procedure.
Access and treat multiple veins in one procedure
The VENCLOSE catheter is equipped with two heating coil lengths – 10cm and 2.5cm. These different lengths can be activated during the procedure to treat different vein sections with greater precision. The versatility of the 2.5cm heating coil section enables clinicians to have the additional ability to treat multiple smaller veins during a single procedure.
Generator improvements allows more focus on patient
The VENCLOSE RF generator delivers several enhanced features which assist to streamline the procedure and allow clinicians’ focus to remain on the patient for improved performance. During treatment, the generator delivers tones that indicate the delivery of thermal energy from the in-vein catheter – allowing clinicians’ visuals to stay focused on the patient rather than the generator display during key treatment moments. Throughout treatment, the display also generates procedural data to inform real-time treatment decisions.
